EFFECT REVENUE LEAKAGES ON BUSINESS SURVIVAL IN NIGERIA
ABSTRACT
This work discusses effect revenue leakages on business survival in Nigeria. Too many businesses experience revenue leakages because of poor business systems, poor business automation, poor cash flow management, poor financial supervision and monitoring, poor inventory practices, and other variables like employee theft practices, and laxity of workers culminating in time wastage which accumulates in poor productive outputs also making the business lose money
.A hundred and twenty questionnaires were distributed among students and teachers from selected secondary schools in Nigeria. Interviews and surveys were also conducted.
Primary and secondary data will be used in the analysis. Tables and percentages will also be used as the instrument of analysis
It will be observed therefore that revenue leakages have a strong and significant negative effect on business survival in Nigeria, companies need strong financial base and capital base to scale and run business operations, therefore a strain on cash flow will slow, reduce and may hamper business growth, development and survival.
