AN EMPIRICAL INVESTIGATION ON IMPACT OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE GENERATED CONTENT ON CONSUMER CONFIDENCE AND BRAND LOYALTY
Abstract
The rapid advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has revolutionized content creation, enabling brands to generate personalized and scalable marketing materials. However, the increasing use of AI-generated content (AIGC) raises critical questions about its impact on consumer trust and brand loyalty. This study empirically investigates how AI-generated content influences consumer confidence and brand perception, considering factors such as authenticity, transparency, and emotional engagement.
Using a mixed-methods approach—combining surveys, consumer experiments, and sentiment analysis—the research evaluates consumer reactions to AI-created advertisements, product descriptions, and customer service interactions. Key findings indicate that while AI-generated content enhances efficiency and personalization, perceived authenticity and disclosure of AI involvement significantly affect consumer trust. Brands that transparently disclose AI usage and maintain human-like emotional resonance in AI content tend to foster higher confidence and loyalty. Conversely, undisclosed or poorly executed AI content risks alienating consumers, leading to skepticism and reduced brand attachment.
The study contributes to marketing literature by providing actionable insights for businesses leveraging AI in content strategies. It recommends best practices for balancing automation with transparency to sustain consumer trust in an AI-driven marketplace.
